Is the passport card photo different from the passport book photo?
No. The U.S. passport card uses the identical 2×2 inch (51×51 mm) photo standard as the passport book — same head-size, background, and expression rules. If you are applying for both at once on Form DS-11, you submit just one compliant photo for the whole application.
Can I reuse my passport book photo for a passport card application?
Yes, as long as it was taken within the last 6 months and still looks like you. The State Department does not require a separate photo shoot for the card — it is the same DS-11/DS-82 photo requirement applied to a different document.
What size is the actual passport card, versus the photo?
