How we make money — and how we don't.

The core of Passport Photo Snap — your formatted, compliant digital passport photo — is free to use, and stays free. We don't run ads, and we never upload your photos to any server. That's the deal, and it isn't changing. We make money in exactly two ways: affiliate links and one optional paid product, both described below.

To help cover hosting and keep the digital photo free, we participate in a small number of affiliate programs. If you click one of our partner links and end up buying something, the partner pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — there is no markup, no surcharge, and no extra tracking added to the product itself.

Who we partner with

  • Airalo — travel eSIMs. Recommended on country landing pages and the post-download screen because most people getting a passport photo are about to travel internationally, and an eSIM is the simplest way to avoid roaming fees. Tracking is handled by Impact.com.
  • Amazon Associates — recommended printer paper, photo printers, and other supplies in our home-printing guide. Links route to your nearest Amazon marketplace (US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Canada) via Amazon OneLink.
  • Evisa Express — online eVisa application service for 80+ countries. Recommended on visa-photo pages where the audience is actively applying for a visa. Tracking is handled by Awin.
  • AXA Schengen — Schengen-compliant travel insurance. Recommended only on the Schengen visa photo page, because Schengen visas legally require proof of travel insurance with €30,000+ medical coverage. Tracking is handled by Tradedoubler.

Paid product

Print Pack ($2.99, one-time). The single digital photo is and stays free. The optional Print Pack unlocks print-ready sheets (10×15 cm, 13×18 cm, A4, Letter) and an automated compliance report. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Money-back guarantee: if your photo is rejected by the issuing authority, reply to your receipt email for a full refund.

How to identify affiliate links

Every affiliate link on this site is clearly labeled:

  • Opens in a new tab
  • Marked with rel="sponsored" for search engines and ad blockers
  • Has a short "Affiliate link · we may earn a commission" note next to the call to action

How we choose partners

We only recommend services we think are genuinely useful for the audience we serve. We don't accept paid placements, we don't take affiliate deals from anyone whose product we haven't personally evaluated, and we don't run display ads. If a recommendation doesn't hold up over time, we remove it.

How to support us without affiliates

If you'd rather support the project directly, you can buy us a coffee. That money goes straight to keeping the lights on — no middlemen, no commission split.
